Shooting Schedule

This is a rough shooting schedule to give us an idea of how long we will have to shoot our opening sequence and to help us manage our time. The above is just a basic outline of how the day is expected to plan out; there may however be changes to it nearer time of shooting. We also are aware of how many breaks are allocated and when. If we stick to the schedule we should get things done on time and wont over-run. To ensure we do this we need to work effectively as a team and work to our best ability.

Call Sheet

This call sheet ensures that we have all of the mobile phone numbers of the production company members, actors and emergency numbers. This ensures that there are no communication errors throughout productions and by having these number we can confirm that everyone is where they need to be when they need to be. The location is also presented on the call sheet with the address and map so that everyone taking part knows where the filming location is and how to get there. There is also a reminder list of the equipment and props needed for the filming process. Designated times are shown above to ensure all included people know the schedule.

This is R.E.M Productions Animatic of our storyboard. We used the actor that we intend to use in our film. Emma Nye was responsible for the editing of the images into sequence and Martin Stewart was responsible for the music and foley sounds.

Shot List

This shot list will enable is to determine the order we will film our thriller opening - It will give us a clear order    to keep us organised during our filming.

Storyboard

This task is a contribution to the planning and research. This specific task was necessary to complete in order to make sure that the particular shot types/angles and cinematography aspects of our thriller that we had chosen were suitable and correct. We also had to enable that our actor was in character in the storyboard in order to determine that we had made the right choice regarding our actor. The props that are present in the storyboard were specified in the costume and props list - our former research into thriller films supplied us with the knowledge of what props and costumes met the specification of the thriller genre codes and conventions. After completing this task, we are one step further to completing our two minute opening of a thriller sequence - we now have a clearer idea of what are thriller opening will look like due to the storyboard.

The completion of this Vox Pop video was necessary due to it is a contribution to the completion of our research and planning associating with our target audience. Firstly, we needed to know what our audiences expectations of a thriller consist of in order to meet their standards. This particular task was interesting in the result aspect, due to one member of our audience was unaware of what a thriller was and was confused between thriller and horror - a common mistake, due to the chilling and scary aspects of a thriller that viewers might find frightening. This made myself, and the other members of R.E.M productions more aware of how we would be able to create a thriller using the genre codes and conventions that would be able to show the distinct difference between the two genres - Horror and Thriller.
